Android Handheld - Configure a Proxy Server
1. Open Android’s Settings app and tap “Wi-Fi” to view a list of Wi-Fi networks.
2. 
3. Long-press the name of the Wi-Fi network to change the proxy settings.
4. Tap “Modify Network” when menu appears.
5. Expand the “Advanced options” section on this screen.
6. Tap the “Proxy” option > Select one of the following:
a. “None” for no proxy
b. “Manual” to manually enter proxy server settings
c. “Proxy Auto-Config” to automatically detect the appropriate settings.
Note: Proxy Auto-Config may not be available on older versions of Android.
